Street Photography :: (1 day workshop. Max 12 students) :: I am a commercial and editorial photographer. My world is one where I am in control of everything most of the time. To change things up I love to hit the streets with a small camera where I have no control of anything.
The beauty of street photography is the lack of control of the environment, the subjects, and the light. We will work through the streets and experience the people and place of a city. Candid moments, details, and impromptu portraits are all elements of street photography.
I will teach you about gear choices, handling yourself on the street, approaching strangers, and dealing with constantly changing variables. I have walked and photographed countless miles through the streets of cities all around the world including Hong Kong, New York, London, Paris, Havana, Mumbai, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Dubai. My street work has been showcased on CNN and in Complex Magazine.
Gear you will need to bring - Travel light and lean. For this class I carry a Fuji X100 and a few extra batteries.
There are currently no street workshops planned at this time.
