If you are traveling into Atlanta for the workshop I highly suggest staying at the Downtown Decatur Courtyard by Marriott. If you need something a little more budget friendly then I suggest staying at the Decatur Super 8. If you are staying at either of these hotels we can typically give you a ride to and from the workshop. If you are an Air B&B fan I suggest you search for a place in the Decatur or Kirkwood neighborhoods. Those are good neighborhoods that are close to the studio and are walkable to great restaurants.
The studio address is 260 Howard St. NE Atlanta, GA 30317. It's very important that you put the NE in your navigation system or app of choice. My studio is #3. Park on the train track side of the building.
Decatur is about a 25 to 30 minute ride from the airport. During rush hour it is usually around an hour. Uber, Lyft, and cab service are available curb side at baggage claim. If you are staying in Decatur you can also utilize our transit system. Grab a MARTA train heading North from the Airport. Hop off at the Five Points Station and transfer to an Eastbound train (To Indian Creek) and get off at the Decatur station. This will take about 45 minutes. Once you exit the Decatur station you'll be a five minute walk to the Courtyard by Marriott and a ten minute walk to the Super 8.
Do not. I repeat. Do not stay at the Decatur Inn. It's on the same property as the Super 8 but... yeah. Do not stay at the Decatur Inn.
