We are still working on the site.

If you are here then you’re kind of walking in while we are still setting up for the party. Feel free to move your zarias.com RSS feed to this blog.

Should be done with the site this weekend!

    Zack,
The updated site looks great! I love the interface of the portfolio and the overall look of everything. You and Alex have done a fantastic job with this. I can’t wait to see the final product.

That’s an amazing mustache! Looks kind of Johnny Ringo/Doc Holiday from Tombstone. That portfolio is pretty slick on the home page too. :) Do you use any tilt shift for those portraits or is that all DoF?

    Hey Zack,

Lovin’ the site, looks really great. Can’t wait for you to get stuff up and running, been missing your musings the last little while, and can’t wait to start seeing your work again and reading what you got to say.

    Cheers.

Lookin good! Site shows your sense of humor in the titles, solid photos, in a simple (not simplistic) environment. I like it. (for all that’s worth)

  • Tim said on January 20, 2011

I translated the latin. I was kinda disapointed….you can’t speak Latin.

  • Justin Gill said on January 20, 2011

Looks pretty good already, almost finished.

    Quirky, but it has character!

  • John Lotz said on January 21, 2011

Been itching to see the new site Zack. I think I have checked it out every day for a while now, hoping for new things to read and new photos to look at. Can’t wait.

The site is looking amazing so far. Hope to see more and more great work. Thanks Zack.

Great site. The only negative thing I have to say is that Meloriac typeface in the post titles is really hard on the eyes. Just my 2 cent :)

  • Tamra Hart | Crendo Photography said on January 27, 2011

I like the overall look-n-feel (nice amount of space for photos, plus white space) and the navigation seems intuitive. Good luck getting it finished — that’s always the toughest part.

    Hi Zack

What will it take (bar a suitcase full of dollars to get you to come to sunny South Africa!

We have a great many people here who are avid ZAFANS (that’s Zack Aria Fans for the uninformed :) ) and would love for you to come present a workshop or two.

And I’m sure you can do with some warm sunshine, great hospitality and ……….

    Cheers

Hello! Anyone there? Zack you in there, hello….. Nope nobody home….

  • Janne K said on March 4, 2011

Hope you get this new site rocking soon, we indeed miss you and your words of wisdom! I’m even growing a beard just to have a guy with funny facial hair to give me tips on how to improve my photography – and the mono-/dialogue with myself in front of the mirror is getting a bit boring…

  • Andy said on March 4, 2011

Quick nerdy comment on site – your favicon is a .png which means any poor people on IE won’t see it. IE only accepts .ico for favicons. Sad but true.

  • Gianmarco said on March 4, 2011

    knock knock anybody there???????!!!!!
Hurry up we all miss your blog!
at least give us a not online yet dated march! :D

  • Andre Bonnet said on March 12, 2011

Is this like when your favorite band has just played and they are just waiting to hear “ENCORE” enough times while people pound their feet and to get a quick breath before coming back out?

I don’t know what the internet equivalent of stomping the ground is but here is my ENCORE comment to add, in hope that you are ready to give us some awesome B sides yo!

  • Anonymous said on March 14, 2011

Common Zack! Hurry up! Tick tock, tick tock!

  • Dave said on March 17, 2011

Hey, has anyone thought there might actually be something really wrong here ?
Zack was one of the most prolific commentators but this site has been completely dead to two months now.
    Has anyone heard anything ?

  • Nomorspam said on March 21, 2011

Zack a great way to kick of the blog on the new site would be a new video like transform. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched that thing….Every time a feel like selling all my gear and calling it quits It helps me pull through.

    Thanks

  • Bill Raab said on March 22, 2011

Wow, I am loving the homepage of the new site. Kicked my rear… great design Zack. Looking forward to it all coming together.

  • Mike in SC said on March 23, 2011

Im digging the new site and it seems to work on my Droid2. ::Borat voice:: Very nice. Let us know when the blogs might return.

If it weren’t for you Zack, it would be difficult to stay focused on the kind of photographer I’d like to become one day. The photographers around here that I know just want to shoot naked girls. And it is not even tastefully done for the most part. That is not what I want to become. Thank you for being a beacon of light amidst all the crappy, scuzzy photogs out there.

  • GenoD55 said on March 26, 2011

Dig the design. Alright, so what’s in the case under the “red” link [almost] final image? C’mon – - – one more image; don’t pull the “Tarantino” card . . . :~)

  • Ben said on March 27, 2011

    Zack-
I just wanted to let you know that it’s very important that YOU called him out on Twitter. It had to be done by someone who’s as respected as you.
You wrote >>> ‘I’m fighting. Fighting for this industry. Fighting for this craft. I cherish photography.’
    Thank you!

  • Daf said on April 4, 2011

Oh – I only just found this new location thanks to a link on FStoppers – had wondered what you’ve been up to.

Can I suggest that you add a final message to the old feed pointing everybody here.
    zackarias.com/feed/
It sometimes bounces to the new location – but not always and not on all readers.

  • Daf said on April 4, 2011

Oops – I meant the old one at : http://www.zarias.com/feed/
